Why is MenoPause still a taboo for a short film?

Updated: Apr 7, 2022

I wish more people had talked about the menopause, when I first experienced the common symptoms. It would have made a huge difference to my outlook and my experience of the change. That is why I write menopause blogs.

Thank you, Christiane Northrup, M.D Your book 'Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom ‘, came to me in a second hand book shop for 40p on my way to the Dr’s for an app. Why I bought it and how it spoke to me has been a strange wonder, but it did and it changed my way of thinking on a massive scale. By sharing our experiences, we may help others who suffer in silence and isolation. Let’s start to open up and listen to so many different experiences on this topic. That's why we made the short film on menopause, 'Knock of Janus'.

Let’s share our experiences, whether positive or negative. The freedom to share experiences and knowledge is our choice. Let me know what you think!

Want to have your say? Come along to our screening of the film on the 10th November and join in the discussion after the film.
